SMOKING

Are you serious about quitting?

Probably like you, many of our clients have tried to quit smoking in the past and sometimes it lasted for weeks or longer. They thought they had what it takes to stop, but then something happened and before they knew it, they were back smoking, sometimes more than they had before they ‘quit’.

Does this sound like you?

Inspired Mind Therapy Stop Smoking hypnotherapy works where other techniques don’t because we get to the root cause behind why you can’t stop smoking and eliminate it.

When you were younger, you formed a belief about smoking without thinking much about it. For many people they were trying to fit in with a crowd so they would be accepted.

Our subconscious mind takes directions from our conscious mind. Until you become aware of what the belief is that led you to start smoking and release it, you will not stop.

We will give you a list of actions to take the week before your session, all of which will help you to start losing the familiarity with smoking.

It’s important that you are looking at stopping smoking for yourself and no one else. If you are doing this under pressure from friends, a partner or your family, then the process will not work. The drive to quit smoking with hypnosis must be yours alone! You must be ready to quit smoking in order for hypnotherapy to be successful. You may find that smoking is costing you too much money and your health is being affected as a result. Whatever the reason you want to stop this habit and cure the addiction so you become a non smoker, hypnotherapy is a proven way to stop.

Our stop smoking program consists of 3 targeted 1 hour Clinical Hypnotherapy sessions and focussed tasking before, during and after therapy. A FREE additional session is provided if required.

WEIGHT LOSS

If you know you are capable of losing weight but have lost motivation we can discover what you need to improve upon and balance your thinking when it comes to food, drink and exercise.

Losing weight can either be very simple or a very complicated issue. Most people come to us because they know they can lose weight, but they lose motivation along the way, or have trouble with particular parts of the weightloss programme they are using. Possibly they can lose it but always put it back on again.

We need to work out what your problem is and what you want us to do for you. People are overweight for a reason. Body weight is determined by the balance of the energy taken in, i.e: what is eaten, in relation to the amount of energy expended.

Food + Exercise = Body Weight.

When this ratio is out of balance, although the body may initially compensate, the body will either begin to lose weight, or gain weight, depending on that balance.

Other factors can affect this rate, e.g: the size of the ratio, the health of the body, the metabolism and hormones.

Once an excess of weight is gained, more effort is required to shift it than took to gain it. It is a common misconception that all overweight people binge, or are glutenous when it comes to eating. Some people who are overweight eat relatively heathy food but remember it is the relationship of activity to intake that is the issue.

We establish what the problem is and how it occurred and what has been done to try and change it beforehand as well as why they have not yet achieved their goal.

Reasons for being overweight may be:

They have always been overweight.

They may comfort eat.

They may have become less active.

They constantly break their diets.

They are obsessed with thoughts of food.

They may binge on a particular food.

Their old eating habits may once have been OK but no long are suitable.

There may have been a change in lifestyle: job, partner or stress.

STRESS

Hypnotherapy aims to break negative thought patterns and responses to stress and instead provide you with a more healthy action. This is done via the subconscious- the part of our mind that works automatically and without us realising.

We will help you enter a state of deep relaxation (hypnosis) when you are in this state, your subconscious is more open to suggestion. The idea is to suggest different ways of responding to stress, to your subconscious.

Some people will see results after one session while others may require a number of sessions. This will depend on your individual circumstances. Hypnosis for stress can be especially helpful when you are experiencing  short term stress. e.g. if you have an exam coming up or a life event, hypnotherapy will help you respond in a more relaxed way.

Hypnotherapy can also be used to help increase your confidence and self esteem, making you feel more comfortable setting boundaries and saying 'NO' to people. These are essential tools for managing stress.

We also offer Yoga Nidra sessions to help you relax.

ADDICTIONS004

ADDICTIONS

Recovery from addiction requires long term behaviour change. Doing this can be difficult and is greatly helped by having a strong support system in place.

Hypnotherapy works by encouraging you to fall into a deeply relaxed state, sometimes referred to as a hypnotic trance. When you are in this state, your subconscious is more open to suggestion. This is where we can help you change your perspective on addiction and help to change habits, behaviours and thought patterns that lead to addiction. Instead of feeling like overcoming addiction is impossible, hypnotherapy can help you see that is achievable.

Hypnotherapy can help in one session, or may require a more long term approach, this will depend on the nature and severity of your addiction.

If you are struggling with withdrawal symptoms and added stress during your recovery, hypnotherapy can offer another layer of support. The process of hypnotherapy itself is very relaxing and can help you lower stress levels and help you feel better able to manage stress. As stress can often be a trigger for addictive behaviour, this can make a big difference.
